He is a co-organizer of the Brooklyn Comics and Graphics Festival and SPX: The Small Press Expo, a member of the Executive Committee for the International Comic Arts Forum (ICAF), a Contributing Editor for Print Magazine, and has worked as an assistant to Art Spiegelman for several years. He is a frequent public speaker about comics and comics education, and has led public conversations with artists including Chris Ware, Lynda Barry, Charles Burns, Chip Kidd, and many others. He previously published the comics newsblog EGON and edited Indy Magazine, which was the first online publication to be nominated for Eisner and Harvey Awards. He can be reached via email.
